How to Pack Your Luggage for a Beach Vacation

HOW TO PACK YOUR LUGGAGE FOR A BEACH VACATION

Hi ladies and gentlemen! Are you planning to have a beach trip? I believe that many people will be planning their next trip and a beach vacation is top of many peoples lists.  

It is hoped to be full on relaxation but often when arriving at the destination, we can be to frustrated that we forgot something. Right? Even more frustrating is when you have to spend money to buy a new item like a forgotten charger or toothbrush. Today, we will invite you to go on a worry-free summer vacation with luggage packing techniques that will make your beach trip easier and we will give some insight into how to pack your luggage for a beach vacation.  

1. Plan ahead of time for where to go and what to do
First of all, plan your travels each day and try to write it down in bullet points. For example: Day 1, take a bus to travel around the island. Then go to a beach party. Day 2 Swimming in front of the beach. Then take a boat to watch the sunset. Day 3 Go diving. Day 4 Take photos and chill at a cafe around the city and take the boat back.



2. Write a list of items that will be needed for each activity
After planning the activities for each day, list out the items needed for each activity. For example, Walking and chilling by the beach: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bikini and sandals.- Campfire Party: Shorts, t-shirts, slippers and mosquito repellent.

3. Choose the right bag
First of all, we have to choose a beach bag. Beach bags usually come in different shapes, sizes, colors and materials. You can buy it based on personal preferences and functions that suit you. You may have to answer the question to yourself about where you will be going, What does the beach look like? Then choose a bag that is suitable for use, for example, if you have a lot of small things that you need to carry, you should also select a bag with multiple interior pockets to keep your belongings organized but not cluttered or if you want to put a mat and play on the sand by the beach, your bag should be made of waterproof material.

4. Put things in the bag in order of use
After preparing the items according to lists made in number 2 by placing the clothes that will be used later in the bottom of the bag and the outfit that was used before should be placed on the top. it will save you the hassle of sifting through your bag to find the outfit you need. Especially, if moving between hotels during the vacation.  

Recommended Technique: Rolling clothes takes up less space than folding. The tip for travelers is that the clothes don’t have to be folded but rather neatly rolled up and put in the bag. This way, you will be able to use every square inch of space and your clothes won’t wrinkle. If your shirt or pants are folded flat like when you put them in your closet at home, there are leftovers on the edge of the luggage on all 4 sides and the middle of the bag is still bulging into a mound, making it difficult to close the bag. 

Items for an indispensable summer beach trip are as follows:

1ST: COSTUME

• Swimwear: Swimsuits are chosen according to our tastes. Whether it’s Two Piece or One Piece, long sleeve or sleeveless, you can take it in case you want to choose as you like.  

• A hat for sun protection and taking beautiful photos. If the space in the bag is not enough, you can just take your one coolest hat.

• Fabric bag: easy to carry anywhere and easy to wash. you can pack a lot of stuff and don’t be afraid to break down. Nowadays, fabric bags have become something that you need to carry before leaving home. So, this is another must have item!

• Sandals are a must-have item for going to the beach. Some beaches have a lot of rocks that may have to be put into the water as well.

2ND: SKINCARE
In addition to makeup removers, facial cleansers, skin creams and sunburn creams, skincare that should be indispensable when traveling to the beach. Skincare that helps restore sunburned skin (like an aloe vera after sun cream) is essential, however prevention is of course more important so SPF 50 PA+++ that is waterproof is a must.  



3RD: COSMETICS
For those who love beauty, I recommend buying a cosmetic bag that can prevent breakages because most cosmetics tend to break easily. If you only put them in a suitcase, you may be subjected to frequent shaking around which can lead to your favourite make up breaking up inside your bag. Therefore, it is best to have a protective bag for your cosmetics. It provides another layer of protection.

4TH: GENERIC HOME REMEDIES
Common medicines that should be carried are as follows: headache pain relievers, paramedics, diarrhea pills, seasickness pills, antihistamines, plasters, insect repellents, inhalers.

5TH: PLASTIC BAGS AND ZIPLOC BAGS
Most trips to the beach will require the use of some kind of bag to store wet clothes. Take a reusable plastic bag so to reduce waste and several zip bags for small items to protect from getting wet.  

6th: CHARGERS
Any electronic gadgets like computers, camera, watches EBooks it is of course essential that you don’t forget the chargers!

Travelling kettle
Sachets of salt and pepper
Tissues and wet wipes
A Swiss army knife
Mosquito repellant
Travelers multi plug adapter
Kindle E book reader (essential in my opinion)
Talcum powder
Hair conditioner
Small piece of nylon string
A couple of big zip ties
A compact head flashlight (petzl makes a great one that is tiny and takes up no space at all).
Nail file and clippers
