Nathalie Fordeyn’s designs are inspired by surrealism and minimalism. We create an imaginary world, one that is parallel to ours and not merely fantasy. To illustrate this, each of our collections tells a story, harmoniously combining fiction and reality. Novel stories are told through the materials, colours, shapes, and most importantly, through the collection’s atmosphere.

Our eyewear line focuses on bringing together innovative materials and technology to create unique sunglasses and optical designs with great attention to quality and comfort. Beyond the realms of design, we are aware of the negative impacts industry activities can have on the environment and issues surrounding human rights. As a young brand, we aim to positively make a difference in today’s fashion and optical industry by working exclusively with producers and suppliers who strongly demonstrate commitment to comply fully with international human rights standards and environmental protection aims.

THE STORY OF NATHALIE FORDEYN EYEWEAR

Nathalie Fordeyn was raised and educated in Thailand, the UK and Belgium. She was a student of fashion at The Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp. She has worked for numerous high profile fashion designers all around the world such as New York and Paris including Galliano, Sonia Rykiel and Diane Von Fursterberg. 

Nathalie Fordeyn Sunglasses was first created in 2016 with an initial drive to produce an eyewear line stemmed from Nathalie’s passion for designing small and meticulous objects. Nathalie loves design and is intrigued by the creation of three-dimensional art that exudes beauty and charm while at the same time has high practicality for everyday-life use.

Having already established a successful fashion line she felt sunglasses was the next logical step for her creativity. Combining sustainable materials with an eccentric aesthetic and she was looking to create a timeless and practical accessory that can compliment your style and protect your eyes from harmful UV radiation.
